These ingredients are added together and stored at room temperature away from sunlight to allow the healthy bacteria to form. Be sure that all of the vegetables are completely submerged in the liquid or mold will grow on anything sticking out of the fluid.

Don’t make the mistake of buying fermented foods in a can at the grocery store because the sterilization, canning, and pasteurization processes have killed the live cultures. Instead, make your own fermented foods at home, and you will have peace of mind knowing that the live cultures are present.

There are numerous benefits to eating ferments, and it‘s easy and beneficial to ferment them at home.
