Protein Packed Nectarine Smoothie

The spread of information being delivered today is good for everyone, especially for those of us that like being healthy, but love food. Everyone has that little devil of a snack or food item that you can’t resist. Whether it is purely for the taste, or that thing you always eat when you’re hungry, it pangs us all. The beautiful thing about smoothies, protein shakes, and veggie drinks is that they have the wonderful feature of slowly digesting. This means that you can forget stressing about that desire for that mid-morning snack craving. Just swap out your breakfast for a smoothie like this below and you won’t have to think about it

Protein Packed Nectarine Smoothie
  1. 2 medium fresh nectarines (peeled and pitted)
  2. 1 cup skim milk
  3. 1 packet Stevia
  4. 1/2 cup plain or vanilla Greek yogurt
  5. Ice to taste
  1. Slice nectarines and add ingredients in order to the blender.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  1. I prefer nectarines that are unpeeled and just starting to go soft, just blend the unpeeled fruit with half the milk before adding the remainder of the ingredients.
  2. Also, if you prefer regular yogurt, you can add a scoop of protein powder to replace the Greek yogurt.
