Fried Pomfret Fish with Black Pepper and Garlic Sauce taken by peachpurple
To be honest, I really have no idea what topic to write at Writedge.
I had tried numerous writings on health, quotes, parenting, handmade cards but none could beat food recipes with the number of comments.
Hence, I had decided to try my hands on recipes from now on until I could find a niche topic that could generate more traffic to my profile page.
3 days ago, I had shared a soup recipe, Kelp and tofu soup which is unique from the usual soup recipes.
It does not require any seasonings at all.
You could try this special soup for this hot summer to replenish your body fluid instead of gulping down bottles of carbonated drinks.
New Fried Fish Recipe
Yesterday, I was lucky enough to have bought a nice, big, fat black pomfret fish from Tesco hypermarket at a very low price.
My mom used to teach me how to cook black pomfret with black pepper and garlic sauce that gives a garlicky and a little spice black pepper taste that even my kids started to like this deep fry fish recipe.
It is high in protein, nutritious and has antioxidant if you consume the crushed garlic as well.
Normally, I would deep fry black pomfret which is quick and easy but it do tasted bland and plain compare to this special fish dish.
Tips and trick:
Remember to clean black pomfret well as it has a lot of black inner skin that gives an awful fish odor.
Give a few horizontal cuts on the body of the black pomfret so that the flesh is easier to cook as the oil gets to penetrates into it.
Lift up the fish by the tail to allow excess water to drip off so that the fish would not induce hot oil splatter everywhere when you start deep frying the fish.
If you are out of wine, use Worchestire wine or DOM wine that is suitable for cooking purpose.
Please don’t use alcoholic drinking wine.
If you are out of black peppercorns, use black pepper powder instead. It taste the same.
Garnish with fresh cut tomatoes, cucumbers, lemons as the side dish.
Fresh salad goes well with fried pomfret.
