Create Gorgeous Purple Text in Adobe Photoshop

From this short tutorial you will learn how to create glowing purple Text Effect in Adobe Photoshop. In the process of work we are going to use default Vrinda Font of Bold Style, lots of Blending Options and Rasterize Layer Style Option in order to achieve the final result.

You can create this Text in any Photoshop version.

This is the final result:

STEP_20

STEP 1

Open Adobe Photoshop and go to File, New to create a new .psd file. Name your new file Purple Text, then set its Width to 1000px and Height to 600px. Insert 96 Pixels/Inch for Resolution, select RGB for Color Mode and Transparent for Background Contents. If you like to print the ready text, set its Resolution to 300 Pixels/Inch and select CMYK for Color Mode. After you press OK button, you’ll see transparent editable Layer 1 in your Layers panel.
Double click on Layer 1 name and write Background in the white space to rename the layer.

STEP_1

STEP 2

Now click once on Set Foreground Color swatch in the Tools bar and when the Color Picker box appears, change the Foreground color to #4c5156. Use the Paint Bucket Tool or go to Edit, Fill, Foreground Color in order to colorize your Background.

STEP_2

STEP 3

Let us beautify our Background. Double click on the Background Layer or go to Layer, Layer Style, Blending Options and tick Inner Glow in Layer Style dialog box. Change its settings as follows:

From the Font Family drop down menu choose Vrinda default Font, set the Font Style to Bold and Set the Font Size to 250pt. Choose #9d42ad for Text Color then type Sign in Capital Letters.
When your text is ready, select it then click on Toggle the Character and Paragraph Panels icon in your Options bar and Set the Tracking for the Selected Characters to 50 or more in order to avoid overlapping of the letters after applying the Blending Options. I have chosen 50.
